Your contribution helps strengthen practical training, atelier infrastructure and the systems that connect skills to sustainable livelihoods.

We're building the permanent home of craft. Right now.

In Mukuni Village, Zambia, Mukuni Mission School which was built by the Church of Christ in 1912 is being transformed. The old building needs rehabilitation. Running water is needed. Sanitation must be rebuilt. Workbenches must be installed. The space is shifting from classrooms to craft.

Mukuni Goldsmith & Lapidary Atelier will open as permanent infrastructure. Not a project. Not an NGO experiment. An asset.

This is what 15 years of deliberate building looks like: government vocational accreditation (TEVETA, 2025). International partners are designing the atelier; Le Arti Orafe Jewellery School in Florence and Akapo Jewels in Johannesburg are supporting the accreditation of the curriculum and will be involved in teaching. And artisans are ready to learn from them.

The fundraising gap is real. And the need is immediate.

Three ways to help close the finish line:

Become a member: Join DTA. Support operations, scholarship stipends, staff.

Sponsor the atelier: Corporate sponsorship available for brand alignment + impact.

Partnership inquiry: Long-term supply chain resilience. Let's talk scope.
